Passes in at least three (3) subjects at the CAPE/GCE 'A' Level. The subjects must include Pure Mathematics, Physics and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (Units 1 and 2) with grades I, II and III / A, B and C.

Passes in at least five (5) subjects at the CSEC/IGCSE/GCE 'O' Level, as per the university’s general regulations. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, or Electrical and Electronic Technology with grades I, II and III / A, B and C.
OR
Complete Year 1 of an Associate of Science in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution within the jurisdiction of their operation that is acceptable to the University of Guyana.
OR
Guyana Technical Education Examination Technician Certificate (G.T.E.E.), Parts I and II in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications.
OR
G.T.E.E. Diploma in Science (Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science).
