USI...using a Unique Student Identifier for all UG transactions

The University of Guyana has started issuing new student ID numbers called Unique Student Identifiers (USI) and new ID cards from the 2015-2016 academic year.

What is a USI?

1. A USI is a student reference number held by only one person - ever. It is made up of seven digits.
2. A USI enables efficient access, storage and retrieval of information by students, faculty and administration.
3. Your USI will be used by YOU for all transactions from registration to the issuance of transcripts, and everything in between, throughout your student career at the University of Guyana.
