Admission CriteriaThe Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture from the Guyana School of Agriculture.
OR
The Certificate in Forestry from the Guyana School of Agriculture (with at least a pass with credit) or its equivalent. A demonstrable period of relevant practical experience may be taken into account for students who graduate with less than a credit.
OR
At least (5) subjects at the CXC General Proficiency examination Grades I or II, (or Grade III from 1998) and/or at the GCE 'O' Level examination (Grades A, B, or C) or equivalent including English and Mathematics plus at least one science subject.
OR
Four subjects at the CXC General Proficiency examination (Grades 1 or 11, (or 111 from 1998) and/or GCE 'O' Level Examination (Grades A, B, or C) or equivalent, together with the Ordinary Diploma in Science (Credit Grade) from the Government Technical Institute.
OR
Persons of mature age ( a minimum of 26 years in the calendar year of entry to the University) who do not meet the requirements but who can satisfy the University with evidence of recent academic achievement and relevant experience will also be considered for entry.
